Why would I be talking to Rumpy he's not the one posting massive spoilers without the tags. They're there for a reason. You honestly don't see a problem with potentially spoiling one of the biggest events in season one (maybe THE biggest) for people browsing the thread looking for impressions? Even for a short grace period for those in other timezones?

How many threads has this been discussed in? Just because a thread exists to talk about the show doesn't give you the natural right to spoil it for those who are behind. Adding spoiler tags to your shit does not hinder your ability to discuss the show. You have no say in dictating someone else's schedule for watching the show. So don't be a douche, open your brain and use them.

I just want to make sure I properly accommodate the discussion of a show for those who aren't watching it.

There is a statute of limitations. 3 days after it airs is well within that time frame. And you should err on the side of spoiler tagging over not in the first place. That's the functional reason for why they're there in the first place.

Spoiler tagging events doesn't prevent discussion, I have no idea what the fuck Uriel's going on about.
That said, I think current media should have major events spoiler tagged. Sometimes people want to discuss something but were busy with friends or family during the last episode or whatever. Shit happens. Now, if this was a thread about the sequel and people were discussing the first season/movie/book, then people who want to see the original should know better than to stay out. If it's been a week or two after it aired then, again, whatever since that's plenty of time for most people who are interested to have seen an episode.Should we spoiler-tag absolutely everything about the books for those waiting for the show?Originally Posted by Uriel
p.s. If the comments that deserve such are done so while the show is coming out, then they'll automatically stay that way for the people waiting for the DVDs. It's like magic.
