Thread: The DC Import Thread

  1. The DC Import Thread

I'm sure somebody has done this already, but I can't find it. I'm trying to put together a list of worthwhile DC imports. I may have a few of the names wrong, but here's what I've got so far:

    Rez
    Headhunter
    Guilty Gear X
    Capcom vs. SNK 2
    Space Channel 5 part 2
    Shenmue II
    Bomber Hehhe
    Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon
    Zero Gunner 2
    Twinkle Star Sprites
    Frame Gride
    Sega GaGa
    Cosmic Smash
RPG Maker (can't recall the exact name)
Capcom vs. Psykio All Stars Mahjong
    Super Puzzle Fighter 2
    Pocket Fighter
    Vampire Saviour
    Super Street Fighter II X
    Fire Pro Wrestling D
    Sakura Taisen 1-4, Online

What else am I missing? Is Eldorado's Gate any good? And am I correct in assuming the DC has a "no nudity" policy in it's games? There are few things more disappointing than bringing a new shooter or rpg home and finding out it's just some cheapass hentai game.

  2. You forgot Napple Tale!

  3. There's also Samba De Amigo 2000, and Space Channel 5: part 2.

  4. That's a very well done list Kyo. Here's my recommedations in order:

    1. REZ (buy it now)
    2. Headhunter
    3. Zero Gunner 2
    4. Cosmic Smash
    5. Guilty Gear X
    6. Gundam Federation Vs Zeon (the PS2 version has more modes though)
    7. Frame Gride
    8. Napple Tale (may need a FAQ)

    Other niche titles:

Lack of Love- adventure game where you play as a lifeform learning how to life in a alien world. Simple controls, nearly no Japanese, nice atmosphere. Admittly not for everyone though.

Lost Golem- Simple action puzzle game, lead a king through a room with out killing him or leaving puzzle pieces unconnected. Cheap and easy to learn.

Bomber Hehhe- The mini games are boring but the actual game is very unique. Definitely a fun game just to screw around with.

  5. I am so close to buying Cosmic Smash....

    Soon, very soon.

  6. Oh yeah, RPG Maker is called "Dream Studio". Interested in it myself, but I imagine it's quite text heavy. *-neo

What about Cotton? How is that though I heard some pretty negative things.

BTW Fire Pro Wrestling D is a must for wrestling/UFC fans.

    Good, my child, good indeed...

We love Cosmic Smash. Have a blast.

  9. El Dorado Gate is a beautiful game and fun tp play...but without Japanese knowledge your pretty much out of luck on the story. I've only found a rough description of the plot, no complete translation. No animation on enemies in battles is not that great though. But I love the sprites.

Stay away from Rainbow Cotton and Bokumo no Tatsujin.

Cool Cool Toon is fun, I don't think it was mentioned.
