I'm thinking of taking up photography again but this, and I never liked it, digital age is confusing. Could anyone recommend me a good system camera? I'm looking for something around 1500-2000$ I guess.

As far as cameras go in that price range, I just grabbed a Nikon D300 as a somewhat Christmas present that I really love so far, still too new to give proper impressions, but it seems like a top piece for sure.

These are from the first half of an architectural series I did recently. I'm in Architecture school, and this area of photography interests me a lot. Check them on my flickr for write ups and descriptions; it's a really cool building.

Also, one of the shots got picked up by one of my favorite architecture blogs, so that was really cool. Got to see my own photo in my feed reader.

Dodge that fucking tree limb out in the last shot or the terrorists have already won.

No way. Lightening the tones of the trees would only lessen the impact of the main subject. The more contrast between the white triangle and the dark trees the better, I think.

PS. The terrorists won long ago, dodged limbs or not.

I was talking about the one in the upper right. The empty space up there would rule face.

I cloned that sucker out and it I think it really helps a lot.

Spent Christmas with the family and snapped a bunch of shots, a couple of which I love. One of my nephew (with the bow), one of my little brother's Christmas present (and my brother running in the background--he's three).
