yeah im going to go get a 25 or 12mm f1.4 prime, cause the 50mm makes it hard to frame without being on the otherside of the damn room.
#1 - not the best time for a shallow depth of field. pay attention to your backgrounds.
#2 - maybe I'm just a square, or what have you, but you chopped off his arm, and I don't think it works.
#3 - dog cock. gross.
#4 - you cut off that poor dog's foot. pay attention to your backgrounds.

Nice pics of the garden of the gods cap, it's truly an amazing place. Did you do any climbing or just take photos? I did some climbing when I was there, after I move I'll look for the pics.
I went there just for pictures and hiking around. I haven't climbed for over a year now. We did a bit of scrambling up one place and had one of the park rangers tell us to get off the rocks. Got really lucky with the weather. Clouds on all sides but the sun was shining right over the place.
the last one is funny

Those ones are diiiiiii-iiirty.
Both of those pics are pretty cool, and I actually kinda prefer the first one since his path of movement is more clear--in the second picture, I don't really know his path.
I took yesterday off work and went riding down to Santa Cruz on some righteous back roads. Stopped and took photos at a few spots along the way. The very first frame I snapped is actually my favorite picture of the day (the one in front of Alice's Restaurant). Took the photo of myself with a tripod. And the photo of the dried-grassy hill I wanted to take on a longer exposure to capture the movement of the nearest weeds, but it was so bright that even at my highest aperture (32 or something) I couldn't keep the shutter open for longer than a half second (I forget the actual time).
