Thanks man. I am extremely happy with what i got out west. I initially planned on getting a lot of photos that places like backpacker magazine could use, but things ended up differently. I got a very good mix of nature/landscape as well as fine art and other stuff.

I need to make a slideshow for the Palm Springs Photo Festive here soon, and I am thinking of just getting the best images from Antelope Canyon. They make a good and consistent slideshow, but it might also be good to just pick the best images from all of the photos taken on the trip. I will make essentially what the slideshows will look like and then post them here to get some feedback. It would be great to to actually get my pictures shows there, and I know TNL can help me make the right decision on what will work and what will not.

  3. hells yeah dude, good luck too

what kind of Camera do you use? I have a Digital Canon Rebel XS, I've taken a few ok shots (or so I think) but I am still extremely new at this

  4. I started out on a Canon Rebel Xti, but I got a Canon 5d MKII at the end of last December. Amazing camera. I'd say 95% is the photographer, but it is always nice to have a good camera as well.

  5. yeah I can totally agree with that

  6. Couple of macros from today. Very poor light for these, I'm trying to see if I can pull something out of the G9 that the auto setting just can't/won't do.

Canon G9 with Raynox DCR-250 macro lens.

  7. A little something for this weeks weekly assignment at DPS, fruits and vegetables. Fruits are fake, water in the tequila shot glasses and bottles. But the jalapenos are real. Over processed on purpose to give it an ad look and perhaps stand out a bit.

  8. Yeah I saw that and thought "advertisement" before I even read your description. Mission accomplished, I'd say.

  9. I gotta say, working with glass is hard business. I didn't use any lights in the room cause they casted a hideous glare over everything, so I opened the blinds just a tad to get natural light, not even direct sunlight and the table is as far away from the windows as possible, and still ended up with a ton of glare. The worst was fixed in PS, but there is still some that just seems impossible to fix, and I am too lazy to really make it perfect. I wasn't sure how the processing was gonna turn out, but it actually worked out perfectly.

  10. Way too many photos I liked from the show the other night. Here are a few of my favorites from each band, but all can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/47562976@N07/. Still have photos to work on from the last band. Will have them up shortly.
