Nope TG-16's processor was closer to the NES's. 8-bit 6502 family a 1.7Mhz.. Not even remotely close to the Genesis' 68000.

The Duo can display more colors simultaneously than the Genesis, which is why Rondo looks like Bloodlines with more vibrant color. It doesn't look MUCH better.

  3. I've seen specs that put it at 7.6mhz but now I find others that say 3.6. Hmm, I always thought it was the former.

If it is around the SNES's speed, then the developers did some impressive stuff.

It doesn't look like Bloodlines but more vibrant. It doesn't resemble Bloodlines at all. The art direction is COMPLETELY different. And the TG-16 and Genesis used the exact same 512 color palette, so, while the TG-16 could get a few more colors on screen (Genny could fudge this too using scanline interrupt and such) they're pretty even in terms of color.

It's the shitty art direction that makes bloodline look like a turd.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Maybe you could post some of your favorite shots that demonstrate CV4 or Rondo's superior art direction?

Yeah, it was always listed at over 7 Mhz in magazines back in the day. I stopped paying attention to system specs after the 16-bit era but when I saw some sites showing it as 3.6 it made me wonder why they listed such a different number.

Shut the fuck up about CV4 already. I never brought it up, and it's not a pretty game either. And I already posted some Rondo shots a few posts up.

Spo, if you think Bloodlines' art direction deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as Rondo's, I want some of that stash you have. Bloodlines was a good game, because it had tight gameplay and a nice hard mode. Its visuals did nothing but hurt it, except for the blood factor, which was welcome way back then.

The 3.6 is wrong. The Amiga 500 computer used a comparative 6800 processor that operated @ 7.16 MHZ.

I believe the 3.6 MHZ they are referring to is the Z-80 sound processor used in the Genesis and as the CPU in the Master System.

You have to be blind not to see Bloodlines look like shit compared to Rondo. I don't like the way Bloodlines play either, but it is not a bad game. Just pale in comparison to Rondo.
