I think that was their intention. Well, Aykroyd's, anyway. He mentioned they were getting too old for that shit at some point.

I'm sure it's for the best that this isn't going anywhere (what was even the last good thing Aykroyd wrote?) but it still makes me a little sad. I'd like them to give it a shot anyway while they're all still alive, and then I can feel free to ignore it if it ends up being crap anyway.

Can I make the same request about rock and roll bands still trying to tour?

I don't mind that they're all female. I do mind that Melissa McCarthy is the worst, and Leslie Jones isn't funny at all on SNL.

This could of course be because of SNL. Kristin Wiig and Kate McKinnon are great though.

I'm willing to give it a chance cause Wiig and McKinnon are great. McKinnon is obviously going to be Ray, but I could see Wiig as either Peter or Egon. I know NOTHING about the other two, I haven't watch SNL in years.
