Notice she's the only one delivering straight jokes in the trailer. Though I'm slightly pessimistic that they will ruin her character by overdoing it with how alternative she is. Like, its going to be 2 hours of them letting you know how fat the fat one is, how sheltered/nerdy the sheltered nerd is, how black the black one is and how alternative the alternative one is.

Hell, while I'm at it I'm going to be pessimistic and predict that their is going to be a Hallmark/Oxygen love connection with Thor, and Dan Akroyd will play the villain (though the Dan thing might be cool if he's using the ghosts to get back to his own dimension).

Maybe I can further lower my own expectations and convince myself this is part of the Orginal Ghostbusters franchise. But then I'll probably get upset when there is no talking Model T

Why is the name "Ghostbusters" established? And why is the internet generating publicity about it? It's cashing in on nostalgia.

Didn't you argue that kids shouldn't have to give a shit about the Beatles because it was before their time a few months back? Applying that same logic, why would they give a shit about Ghostbusters?

You seem to be in a huge hurry to embrace our generation's obsolescence. We all know it's the way of the world, but it doesn't mean pop culture purges us from memory. If they weren't hoping to bring in fans of the original movies, they wouldn't bother calling it what they're calling it.

I have typed and deleted so much stuff. I don't know how better to explain that a movie that is being marketed towards Tumblr isn't really for a bunch of dudes in their late 30's.
