While I did enjoy it, I don't disagree with a thing you just said. It was light entertainment I could watch with my wife and it was fun enough that I had a good time. The movie desperately needed one last unifying rewrite to tie all its bits together, and I still think the funnies joke was at the beginning about the anti-Irish fence on the mansion, but I just don't have the reverence for Ghostbusters so many people do. This was popcorn entertainment and I was entertained, and will probably never watch it again. I've only ever seen the first two movies a single time in the theater on release as well.

This is how I feel. It's in the same category as Bay's TMNT movies for me. Watch once on Netflix then forget.
