Thinking of places for vacation

I can't really tell you when the best time to go is, but I can recommend you go to Florence. Venice was WAY overrated, and Rome is Rome, you HAVE to go to Rome.

Oh yeah, don't go in the winter. Italy gets fucking cold. I'd think the fall would be the nicest time to go, but I could be totally wrong.

And the flight takes, literally, forever. You will be in the air forever. Turns out this whole recommendation is just a dream I'm having on the flight.

Sorry. Had a typo and did a quick response since I'm at work. Ive been on 24 hour flight (to Asia) so its no biggie to me since I'll just sleep the whole way through.

Hawaii, just because I'm going there on my honeymoon in 2 1/2 months. Go to Maui and try the place listed #1 on tripadvisor for Maui. Sounds awesome; we'd go there if the place had room service for our lazy asses. Or you can go where we're going, Maui Prince Hotel, which does have room service.

My gf went to Maui with her friends before she met me. We're planning of going there. We also wanted to island hop when we went to Oahu but we planned too late.

Did that last year with her. It was her first time.

I didn't go to Venice but I completely agree on Florence. It was my favorite city in Italy, even liked it better than Rome.

Hawaii is awesome too. I went to Kauai and loved it. It's the least touristy island, lots of nature and the beaches were almost completely empty when I went. If you go to Hawaii there is a series of guide books which I think are called "The Ultimate island name Guidebook". Something like that. You need to get the one for your island. My gf had been going to Kauai for the last 10 years and we found tons of awesome little known places. That book will help you get the most out of any Hawaii vacation, it's indispensable.

You need to choose what you're looking for in a vacation to pick. If you want to relax, go to Hawaii. If you want to see the world, go to Europe. IMO, you shouldn't relax until you see the world first. Everyone needs to go to Europe at least once in their lives.

That's true. Usually american tourist take the whole big european vacation, not just 1 country.

Take as long as you can. There will be plenty to fill up however long you have and you may as well get the most of it.
