Thread: Has your opinion on any of the current consoles changed since thier launch?

  1. I've gone from mearly being unimpressed with PS2 to selling it and loathing Sony and PS2. GC, XB, DC haven't changed one bit, they all rock as much as I knew they would before they were even on my shelf.

I tried the S Controller today. Lemme tell you...it's a helluva lot better than that cumbersome US pad. Think Dual Shock almost, but with slightly thicker grips.

The button placement is awkward(you'll have to get used to the start button being beside the D-pad), but the improved comfort is worth getting adjusted.

    PS2:
    Before launch: interested
    Launch until GT3/TMB: penis
    Now: large boobies

    Cube:
    Before launch: very interested
    All last year: large boobies
    All this year: Saggy testies

    Xbox:
    Before launch: interested
    Last year: decent boobies
    This year: poontang

  4. Let's see...

PlayStation 2 - I really had little interest because DC was thrashing it soundly. Now I'm thrilled with the prospect of games to come (Shinobi!) and I can't wait to get one. It has easily the best line-ups out now and the most promising titles coming out.

GameCube - I've always wanted one, and that hasn't changed. I don't feel the need to get one right now, since there's not much out that I'm interested in. It's just a very brilliantly designed console and it won't be long for it to have games to match (Zelda!).

Xbox - Brief periods of interest, but now I really think the Xbox is a very distant third. The only games I'm interested in thus far are Sega's (JSRF, TJ&E3). If it gets Shenmue 3, the world will be a sad place.

As opposed to Shenmue 3 not coming out at all?

Come on man, it's only $200 now. Just get one and be happy.

    Seriously, that's pathetically self-centered, Rob.

  7. Nothing has changed for me. I still want all three consoles. And I still don't have any of them.

  8. PS2 - I have always been a Playstation fan - loved my PSOne and now my PS2. But since the X-Mas run of games that came out, I have been slowly moving away from my PS2. It used to get the most playtime, now it is the least of the 3. I just don't think the games have been as strong the last 6 months (although MOH:Frontline will help improve that), and multi-platform games all seem better on the X-Box.

X-Box - has quite impressed me. Wasn't overwhelmed at the release lineup of games but have been more impressed recently. Hunter the Reckoning has been fun, Spiderman was enjoyable. When it comes down to games on all platforms I tend to lean towards the X-Box version as they tend to have more features and better graphics.

Gamecube - has not changed. I bought it for Resident Evil, Mario and Zelda and I eagerly await them all. It sees some playtime during the week.

Right now - the X-Box is my favorite console....

why is rob self-centered? a lot of the people posting in this thread hated the xbox but as soon as the price dropped went and got one. i believe i heard "no good games are coming out that impress me enough to get one" "its too big..ill never buy one" was thrown around about a billion times....yet a $100 price drop can change people so.

to the ones that ARE (not naming...you all know who you are)....id worry about being hypocritical before anything else

    That is all...
