Yeah, I had the 100 headshots early as well. I'm awful at the melee combat. I just can't get the timing right since I don't do it often enough.

  2. yeah usually melee is my last resort, so i am just mashing to kill the fucker before his buddies shoot me down.

zomg i got 2 more games though, what to play!!!

The cover system in Uncharted is actually better than Gears of War. I just don't think the demo did a good job of showing what the game was all about.

  6. The only reason ME's cover system seems better is because you are given more protection than you should when under cover in ME. You can blast away at an enemie in ME but if they are leaning in cover they will not take damage. In Drake the physical are of the cover is what protects you. Also, the enemies are actually smart & will flank you and compromise your cover.

QTF. Just beat it on hard, absolutely AAA from start to finish. Its kept me off of Mass Effect and SMG, now that im done, time to dive into those before i restart uncharted on crushing difficulty, with flip mode and fast motion (yay for rewards)

  8. I just finished it too, on normal. Excellent game, enough to fully take me away from Mario, CoD4, and Halo 3. Once I finish Mario, I'm coming back for more.

I already explained this, read it again. To reiterate: Uncharted's cover system only gives good defense while having no offensive options. It's great for hiding but if you want to actually kill any of your enemies it's all but useless since the game doesn't allow you to aim from cover nor retain aiming memory.

I didn't say it doesn't protect you, the point is that just walking behind things provides the same amount of cover. The entire reason one has a cover system is so that you can pop out quickly, shoot, and then duck right away (see: kill.switch, GoW, ME). Since Uncharted has no lock-on, no way to retain aiming, and is using an analog stick it's just as safe and a much better choice offensively to just walk behind stuff for protection and then strafe out as you need to fire.

I was loling about ME because it has aiming from behind cover and target memory which Uncharted doesn't. Just struck me as funny for two games with similar styles of combat to come out at the same time, yet the group which hasn't made a shooter before does everything the company that's much more experienced in real-time combat does and more.

Its very easy to do this, you press L1 then let go of it after you shoot.

the cool thing about uncharted is you CAN blind fire, use your imagination and put crosshairs in the center of the screen and aim your camera, thats how i got through the last damn chapter of the game on hard, and probably how i will get through most of it on crushing.

as for it NOT holding the same position while in and out of cover, you are absolutely wrong. You are basing that on a demo from a not yet fully complete version of the game, and you LOL at the game demo in comparison to a game that you own the gold version of.

It does exactly what a cover system should do, and it holds your aim, and you can blindfire with as much accuracy as you could expect from it.

What this game does and doesnt do is whats throwing people off. It doesnt sticky like other console FPSs or over-the-shoulders do, aim more accurately and adjust your sensitivity, this game isnt going to do the killing for you.

Secondly, these guns have recoil, which in the middle of firing will move around, along with your enemies, who will not just stand there and get shot.

    The cover system isnt useless.
