Thread: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

    Damn skippy.

  2. There's a lot more shooting towards the end, but the enemies become more interesting so it's not so bad.

It's true though, at times it does feel like they were trying to make Gears of War for PS3 starring Indiana Jones. And the controls aren't as tight as Gears.

But jeez, this is a freaking 6 hour long game, just sit down and finish it. Even my casual gamer friend with spastic motor control finished that jetski part without difficulty. You guy reee-heeeaallly suck if you think it's hard enough to put down the game.

  3. For the record I have neither found this game hard nor put it down. Also I haven't got to the jetski part yet.

I still like the game, I'm just dissapointed in what it's turned into during the chapter I'm at. Especially considering how awesome the action is when you fight just a few guys while still platforming; specifically I'm thinking of the waterfall area.

I made the mistake of playing on normal my first time through. Is that what you're doing too?

Too easy. I actually beat the first jetski level on normal without shooting, because I didn't realize I could. I just used cover and made a calculated break for it to get through without killing anyone. This took several tries of course.

I quit at the jet ski part 'cause it was slow and tedious, not because it was difficult. When I hopped on a jet ski for the second time, I wasn't very excited to do it again.

Slow and tedious? It's less than five minutes long. Your taste is just fucking awful once again.

If you can pass the train stage in ZOE 2 without complaint, this should be dead easy for you.

Like I said, it wasn't difficulty that stopped me. When I first saw the jet ski I thought it'd be rad, but it turned out you just ride forward ten feet, stop, shoot some mines, maybe shoot through some trees in the direction of enemy bullets, drive forward another ten feet, repeat. It's so slow and boring, which is the opposite of what I expected at the sight of a jet ski. The first time I was on the jet ski I thought it was dumb, but the scene eventually ends and I got to do some on-foot stuff. Then five minutes later I had to jump back on the jet ski and at that point I was done playing the game.
