Beach Spikers may play well, even though it's by AM2 and not the makers of Virtua Tennis, but looking better than DOA Volleyball? Are you blind man? The characters are all lower poly and look almost identical, the backgrounds are bland, the sand effects are non-existant... Even the scant amount of DOA Volleyball footage looks miles better.

You might also want to dig in this very website's E3 reports since Reno posted something about Beach Spikers, but I don't remember exactly what he had to say about it.

  2. Come on, guys, we all know it's all about the female volley ball player buttcheeks.

You can tell all that? Jesus...

  4. I just saw some vids of Spikers and it looked like the sand effects were in full effect. Maybe I am blind... =p

No your not but it seems that other character up there is.

  7. Okay, maybe I was exaggerating. I haven't seen the game in motion yet, but reading an article in the European dreamcast magazine left me underwhelmed by the graphics and the description of the gameplay.

Maybe I'm just irritated that Beach Spikers gets all the optimism, while DOA Volleyball gets all the harsh words. And maybe I should avoid any topics remotely connected to these two games from now on.

  8. They must have done A LOT with the game since the DC rev, because it is looking nice on GameCube. Dunno if what's being pulled now would be doable on DC (well, maybe but it's hard to say)

well, i played the game and it was great fun. and everyone else who played it agreed. i really don't see how an official Dreamcast magazine would say something bad about a good game, or even make it look mediocre.

i think your beef with the game is that it's not an xbox exclusive.

Um...actually I believe it was a Naomi 2 game, so it should visually kill what you see on the DC without any changes from the arcade version.
