That analogy was kinda lame but he was definitely "the man from Tallahassee" Ben referred to so that probably means he was on the island before the crash or possibly the others knew about the crash beforehand and maybe brought certain people from the survivors life for better insight (such as Locke's father who has also long been rumored to be the real Sawyer).
Good episode overall Lost definitely has me back on board.

Locke is one selfish mutha fucker, but at the same time, he's the fuckin' real deal. Tell me you guys wouldn't do the same thing in his position, I know I would. He went from the most loved to basically the most hated in a span of 3 seasons. I, however, love Locke and he's one of the best TV characters in recent memory.
A couple notes:
- When Locke's dad through pushed him through the building (which is rumored to be the real Sawyer) and he fell to the ground, I immediately thought of the guy falling during the meeting Hurley had at an office in one of his flashbacks. This was discussed at Lost forums and the timelines didn't match or something.
- There were also discussion that Locke didn't blow up the sub because he was soaking wet. We never actually saw him go into the water. So people are saying that he moved the sub away, swam back to shore, and blew off the end of the pier or something.
