Thread: Lost

  1. She saw a baby crowning, and Claire's disaster of a vagina and saw her true life.

    I love it.

And now you're hear in dead land. Because you died over there in real land. Look, here you are dieing again to hammer it home."
Jack made his sacrifice for the others. The same as Sayid made his when he blew himself up and Jin did when he put his wife first. Walt left the island when he put his child first in his life, instead of being the dad Walt never knew.

I think I'm gonna' chalk up the dead pregnant ladies to Jacob. Ben tells Hurley that Jacob was the one making it near impossible to leave the island. If Jacob could swing that, I'm sure he could institute a policy of Pregnant=Dead. I could see a putz like Jacob wanting extreme control over who is and isn't on his island, and those babies weren't invited, damn it!
The woman dying from pregnancy probably happened because they didn't enter the island realm as a couple with their mates, thus not really fulfilling the purpose they were on the island for. Jin and Sun's child was their bonding as a couple, while Clair's test was to keep and love her child.

Mmm-hmm. The island wasn't real, so all these people that are going off to the afterlife with a gathering of the most important people in their lives mostly... never actually met each other?

You might want to rethink that interpretation.

  4. Any of you morons that think this is an acceptable wAy to wrap up the show should be killed. This was offensive to logic and doesn't survive any amount of critical thinking.

What a fucking waste this turned out to be.
    Boo, Hiss.

  5. The show was offensive to logic once some dude turned a donkey wheel to move an island through time.

I was never expecting a logical ending or to be told all the answers in a clear, precise way, but I am pretty offended at how the show dodges even hinting at some of the specifics of the island's workings by essentially saying "hey, well, everything worked out in the end!"

Exactly my thoughts. They couldn't have been the most important people in each others lives if they only took a flight together that didn't even reach its destination.

    Yup

Jack's Dad summed it up: "The time you spent with these people was the most important period of your life."

    Keyword: "life"

On the subject of the characters, I'm fine with the ending we got.
On the subject of Island Mythos, it was a big FUCK YOU.

    Exactly.

  10. It totally wasn't the most important people in their lives. Most of them probably went on to have kids and grandkids and shit.
