Half of his Jonah Hex review is "This movie is soooooo much better than Toy Story 3. God, what a piece of shit that Toy Story 3 is, Jonah Hex is great, not like Toy Story 3." This is shit that would look bad on any internet forum, even worse as a pro-feshinul review. It's like me badmouthing Toy Story 1 and 2 without any ground to stand on except for my resentment of the series's popularity. only i'm not being taken seriously by anyone, and i'm sure as hell not getting paid for it.I guess everyone is pissed at that Armond White movie critic guy because he gave this movie a horrible review (the same week he praised Jonah Hex)
OR AM I?
Donk
I looked at his reviews, he basically does the opposite of the popular consensus.
The dude hates Noah Baumbach's (The Squid and the Whale, Margot at the Wedding, Greenberg) mom from like forever ago when they both worked together - so in every review of one of her son's movies he mentions that he must not have been raised right to write like this and his mom should have had an abortion.
It felt like a big adventure, with a fitting adventure's end. That end...holy crap, that end...I thought the beginning of Up was hard to watch...
Granted, watching Andy give his toys to Bonnie made me think of my niece, and all sorts of grown up things about carrying tradition and legacy on to younger generations, growing old, growing up...it was something else
Also also: when they're about to fall into the furnace at the dump? I was pretty sure they would get out of it, but almost thought not...not because of the situation itself...but the finality and acceptance in the characters at the end. They were facing their own mortality and at that moment, rather than fight, found acceptance and strength in each other to face something as stark as death
Saw it with the family and oddly enough, I liked it more than they did. Said the movie felt too adult and serious, that there weren't enough jokes for the kids, and that my niece got really scared at the furnace scene. I think it was good though, and more a movie for those who grew up with TS1 & 2, as well as a way to carry the series to a new generation.
I cried.
Fags.

That part mentioned above messed me up too.
It was. His name was in the credits.Originally Posted by TrialSword
