    I can't off the top of my head think of many games I played with voice acting, but even stuff like Oblivion, while not at all exceptional, is better than Gears of War. If you want to count Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, that's an easy win, but I could understand not wanting to count it since it's a re-release.

    I just can't imagine that Gears of War--with its hilariously bad acting--is the best example of male acting in 2006.

    ...And now I'm feeling a bit dim 'cause I just realized these are the AIAS awards which I should've assumed were bogus. For some reason I thought these were already done and over (after the Capcom hoopla a couple weeks ago) and had it in my head that these were the GDC awards.

    We're talking videogames. There has never been a game without hilariously bad acting.

    With Capcom games left out of the mix, there seemed to be little in the way of stopping the Gears of War juggernaut. The game has already sold over 3 million copies, making a critical and commercial darling. Nintendo also turned out big as well, though Zelda: Twilight Princess only won a single award.
