Used to be, back when the only way to play online was with Dwango or that filth T.E.N.

I disagree. Unless it's broadband, SFIII:TS is the worst Capcom fighter to play online because of the insane timing required. As far as I figure, this is actually the best game to go online because it's so stupid and crazy and combo-madness, it doesn't really matter too much if there's a bit of lag. It's not like anyone should be taking this game seriously anyway.

because not everyone lives near places that hold Tourneys and seeing as how the ONLY genre i care abotu going online is Fighters this would be big for me

  4. I feel the same way Johnpv, I really got upset when capcom didnt' give us any network when we got SFA3 and SFA3 not to mention, spawn and heavy metal really needed it more then anything. The thing I'm thinking is that it has to do with how they don't want to set up a network for us in the US because they may claim that it's "too hard", but if it was turned over to seganet or something, maybe we would at least have a choice.

Well, for what matters, I'd like to see if most if not all current and DC fighting games from capcom get ported over to xbox so they make use of it over on our side. I'd also be happy if we got to see a new ver of soulcalibur or VF playing online, that would be something!

I still wish I could find out who said no to online play for the US, whoever it was needs to have his head stomped on...
don't wanna tangle with you, I'd rather tangle with him.
I think I'm gonna bash his head in...

You clearly haven't spent enough time with World Heroes 2, heh. But yeah, MvC2 doesn't float my boat. Online SF3 or KoF, on the other hand...those are the games I've been waiting to play since there was such a thing as online gaming...

A lot of people care. Despite what TNL may make you think, no one cared about the Dreamcast, and the people that did have one probably didn't have a copy of MvC2 considering it's an adventure trying to find a copy.

  8. The whole phone system is apparently much better in Japan than it is here and it's also smaller, so it's possible for Capcom to make money off a network there, while it would likely just be throwing money away in the US.

Xbox support would be the way to go since they wouldn't have to pay for their own servers and broadband should elminate evil lag, but Capcom doesn't seem to interested in the Xbox so far. I'm suprised its getting Dino 3.

  9. Oh, well, it looks like all those people selling DC MvC2 on Ebay for $45+ are going to start getting a lot less for their copies.
