Those people need to listen to the hits channels or buy a fuckin iPod. I used to hear awesome new bands all the time, especially when Stabwalt worked there. Now it's just the same bullshit over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over...

  2. HOLY SHIT, THE MERGER WAS APPROVED. Apparently the FCC still needs to approve it, but the biggest hurdle from what I have read is done with.

I can't say I'm surprised so much as it's amazing to see this news after they announced it a fucking lifetime ago. O&A uncensored, HOORAY!

While it's true that yes I could stream audio over my PDA through my cell phone it's not really a replacement for satellite radio. Not only does it cost alot more but it's also probably a bit complicated for Joe average. Terrestrial, ad-driven AM/FM radio isn't the same either because it's censored, regional and riddled with commercials.

This merger will end badly for consumers, I do not support it and will cancel my 4 radios THE MINUTE it gets approved - if it does. When the FCC officially begins the hearings I'll be writing to the appropriate people.

    Time to man up, buster.

  4. mlb mlb mlb on sirius! Make it happen by next week pls!

  5. Please, for the love of god switch everything over to XM's hardware.

  6. As in actual recievers?

  7. And sattelites. The whole technological infrastructure of Sirius fucking sucks.

  8. Ah, gotcha. I know nothing about how their infrastructure works, nor do I care since I have never had a problem with reception. So long as my service isn't disrupted I could care less what happens.

  9. XM gets better reception with smaller antennas. Sirius uses sattelites with elliptical orbits, which makes it more difficult to build repeaters because there's a sort of doppler shift going on. XM uses geosynchronous sattelites, and has several times as many repeaters, so they get much, much better coverage.

You'd mostly notice it if you have a portable unit.

  10. I knew there was a reason I waited on sat radio.
