Never heard of it, looks cool though.
Infernal is a new third person shooter from Polish developer Metropolis. It seems like a pretty mainstream game with a lot of good production values, but it hasn't been getting much hype.
It's nothing completely new, if you've played Lost Planet or Max Payne. You take control of an agent bestowed with various badass demon powers in a near-future sci-fi world. It's the stuff of comic books and popcorn action movies and it straddles the line between badass and trying too hard (like Quake, Doom, or the Highlander TV series), but I really found what I played to be fun. It looks and plays great, but I've only tried the E3 demo and the recent public demo.
This game just appeals to me for its cheesy-dark over-the-top action. Fans of SiN, Requiem Avenging Angel, and Max Payne should keep an eye on this one. You'll know if it's for you.
Anyone else have an eye on this one? Anyone try the demo?

What platforms? I liked SiN, I liked Max Payne, Requiem was OK (when it comes to shooters, I have a pretty nondiscerning taste...)
Added trailer and demo links to the top post.
Played the hell out of the demo today. Two thumbs all the way up. Nice balls to the wall action game. It's so cool it's almost cheesy (play the demo and you'll see).
This is MY world, I just let you all live in it.

"Although it did not become the fatal wound, it owed the minor burn..."
"The intellectual pleasant sensation that is adjusted taste freely to detail the operation system which rubs the impression of production and the existing game which adhered, leads synopsis of drama to conclusion with prayer itself inference power and insight"
I love babelfish.
I enjoyed all three. Requiem is quite underrated, IMO.Originally Posted by Frogacuda
Infernal definitely seems better than their previous third-person action game, Aurora Watching. It runs really shitty on my computer but I will check out the full game eventually.
Not so sure about this. The way the game handles cover seems pretty shitty, and I wish you could quickly pick up ammo from a dead body when you don't need the health. Teleportation seems neat.
Wasn't thinking about saving, died at the blue shield guy, went back to the beginning of the demo, and quit.
Ran really nice, though, all things considered.
I'll have to open it back up, then. Given my idea of the typical length of demos, I figured that'd be the end.
With the cover, it seemed like I couldn't flatten against the wall even in places where I figured I'd be able to, and there were a couple of cases where I would pop out to fire only to have it shift my aim to some set point. I'm not expecting the game to play like Gears or anything, but it was kind of annoying.
