From what I saw Donnelly's had a way better series premiere, but Heroes over the past 12 episodes has gotten consistently greater. I really hope NBC doesn't move the black donnelly's off of Monday nights. This power block of TV is good enough how it is. Unfortunetly it's rare for a debut series to remain in the same timeslot and night so I doubt it will be alive for very long in the coming months.
word is it (for now) it took Studio 60's spot and the moment ratings slide they're canning it.

  2. anywhere i can find the first episode? my gay ass time warner dvr box got an elbow drop on itself today for being gay.

  3. Joey Ice Cream is starting to annoy me. I know the show needs a narrator but the writers obviously didnt know how in the fuck to put him in there and it shows. The guy just doesnt fit in at all. Unless he is lying and it turns out he's actually one of the brothers or something....

And I hate that the show is doing the whole, "Main character of the Show will never get the girl" angle.I cant believe the writers are doing that shit. This show still tells a good story but stuff like that shows me that the writers may not have full freedom to do what the hell they want with this. It seems like something a top exec. would throw in there to be like every other shitty, teen angsty show out there. And this isnt a teen show which makes that fact even sadder.

  4. I think he's lying about being there all those times, he probably just doesn't want to tell the cops that cause they won't believe him. He probably won't be the narrator forever it'll eventually catch up to current day/time...

  5. I dislike Tommy's odd facial ticks and poses. The second episode wasn't as good as the first. In the first you felt Tommy was a strong guy who was fighting to keep his family and friends safe. In this episode you got the impression he didn't give a shit what his family was thinking and couldn't handle the responsibility he just chose to take. That's a pretty big shift in the shows dynamic. I don't mind Joey Ice Cream, some of the funniest moments in the episode had to do with him mysteriously popping up in the middle of nowhere and disappearing.

I did notice, however, that the narration of Joey Ice Cream kind of died out at the end of the second half and the almost all throughout the 3rd quarter.

I also hate the fact that the 3 brothers all seem to be complete idiots who don't seem smart enough to up their own shoelaces.

I liked the first episode enough to give this show a couple of more watches. But after that I'm calling it quits.

Because his family is a bunch of idiots. Of course he doesnt care what they are thinking, he's trying to keep them safe. And I guess the show could turn into Scarface all of a sudden and he could just rule Boston with an iron fist from on high but it is a pretty big responsibilty to have thrust upon you when you just murdered the heads of two major crime families in a matter of minutes, the only weapon you have on you is a gun you just pulled out of the sewer, and the only gang you have is a couple of numbskull brothers.

  9. Bah, Bad call NBC.

I was starting to enjoy watching these fucked up characters extort people from their money and watching mobsters get hit in the back of the head with shovels. This show was a little too different for NBC, I guess...
