Thread: Uniracers

  1. Uniracers

i know someone else out there had good fun with this one.

    anyways, let the discussion begin.

oh, and were's our GBA port Nintendo?

  2. #2
Although it's unlikely that DMA will team up with Nintendo again, I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel. I didn't really like the game myself but I thought the theme was nice.

Interesting note about Uniracers - you can't type Sega in as your name.

  3. I used to play Uniracers non-stop when that game came out. silly pseudosynth16bitrock'n it out. I highly doubt there will ever be a sequel, but the GBA would be perfect for it now, since it has the shoulder buttons. One can only hope....

  4. Borrowed this one from a friend for an entire summer once. The graphics and gameplay were very simple, yet it was quite a fun game. I loved the animations on the unicycles.

  5. i played this game at toys r us. i had a blast.

  6. ...this was a great title...a gba remake would sell...

  7. Yeah, if anything screams for some link-up 2-player action, its Uniracers.

Speaking of not being able to type in "Sega". What if, say, as a weird joke, now that Nintendo and Sega re in bed together, if you typed that in the GBA version you'd get to play as Sonic instead of a Unicycle. That would rule
    omg TNL epics!

  8. I don't know what I'd think of a GBA remake for this game. I absolutely love the SNES one, I still occassionally take it out and play it when I have some people over. And I think that's the reason I wouldn't like a GBA re-make. The real fun of this game to me is playing it with a lot of people. It's a really simple game that anyone can learn fast and compete at, yet it's still fun. I guess you could argue the link cable would fix that problem...

  9. Uniracers...

So freaking amazing back in the day, and still holds up pretty well now.

I remember in the years post-THPS, when I yearned for an awesome trick-based skateboard game (not that skate-or-die, and 720 weren't great, I just yearned for more), this is exactly how I had imagined a skating game would play.

Tons of technique, jumps and tricks.

    Simply to sweet.

  10. Yeah you couldn't type in Sonic either, or naughty words which I really wanted to do when I first got the game. I was stuck with names like booger(for the green one). The game is awsome, the two player mode was where I really had my fun with the game.
