I really didn't expect this series to reappear in any form. It's cool to see.

Thunder Force III is one of my most played shooters ever, too. I think TF IV/Lightening Force might be a bit better, though. TF V was kind of disappointing.

In any case SF3:Third Strike holds the title for most self-effacing title of an awesome game.

I never played any of the TF games other than TFII, so I never really understood the praise the series gets. I'll have to check out TFIII one of these days.
I've always liked Life Force/Salamander, though, and having this mentioned in the same context as that series makes it that much more intriguing.

Go with ThunderForce 3 and 4 (Lightening Force). I'm a big fan of 4.

Thunderforce 5 didn't jive with me for some reason. I dunno if it was the art style or what.
