Would anyone recommend buying a monitor other than the ASUS PG278Q ROG right now? 27" will already be huge from two feet away, so I don't think I need a 34". This one checks all the other boxes I can think of.
edit: The only other temptation is to go 21:9...

I haven't touched my ps4 in nearly 2 months. The only console gaming I've done since then has been on the Dreamcast and PS3.
I've done a decent amount of research on this. I was going to get this but I am waiting for the PG279Q as it has HDMI (supposedly...) so I can use it for TATEable 360 shmups too. Lots of other monitors don't have an HDMI port.
If that isn't important to you, this monitor was everything I really wanted (short of not being 4K and being a good TN panel versus an IPS, which the PG279Q is).

Hmmm... I'd like to get my TV out of my office so I can move the Blast City in here. Having an HDMI port on my monitor would accelerate that... When does the PG279Q come out?
I think it got pushed a couple months from this month to Nov
AND we don't know if it will still have HDMI. It was supposed to but things always seem to change regarding monitors and bad language translations etc
