Mass Effect is $9.99 this weekend on Steam. I bought it again, so if anyone is interested in a retail copy, I'd be happy to sell it for the same price as Steam and eat the shipping to free up some space in my closet.
Two of my roommates bought Shattered Horizon. It seems pretty great so far. I mean, the zero-G thing could have been a super-gimmick, but it differentiates the game a lot, and there's cool shit like less recoil when your feet are planted on something, sweet grenades, and the ability to turn off your suit to not show up on radar at the cost of limited movement. Fun boosting and melee too.
I'm kind of amazed that anyone still has the rights to it. Torment + all the other Infinity Engine games could really use a digital release. And maybe someone could get around to patching them to work with new video cards without fucking around with windowed mode and/or DirectDraw.
BTWTWTW, the PC release of Mass Effect is surprisingly good. Looks great.
Serious Sam HD up on steam's coming soon list for 17.99 if you order before release. Love the original games and I may pick this up to support Croteam (and to replace my old First Encounter disc). Hopefully Sam 3 will make an appearance soon.
It crashes every 30 minutes for me no matter what I do, and it's not a bad video card the game just doesn't like it. This was a few months ago I could probably see if they've updated the game.
