Thread: Official PC Thread

  1. All Crysis games are 50% off this weekend as well. So Crysis and Warhead are both $15 each.

Shit. Time to replace another retail box. Who wants a retail Crysis?

    1. Go to this website: https://wendys.promo.eprize.com/bigscore/
    2. Click on the bit underneath that says "*If you don't have a code, click here."
    3. Enter your email address, wait for the code to be sent, then go back to the URL in step one, enter your email and your code, then enter your details on the next page.
    4. Play the stupid pointless flash games. After you've gone through them, a $5 coupon code for the EA Store will be sent to your email address.
    5. Go here, add the item to your cart, go to "proceed to checkout" and then use the coupon code on that page.
    6. Then just download it (through the unfortunately mandatory EA Download Manager).
    Confirmed and repped.

BTW, I didn't realize this before but the Steam release of Crysis is only the 32-bit version. The 64-bit version is only through retail.

  5. #1175
Well, shit. Maybe I should keep it then. Are both versions on the disc?

  6. I think the 64-bit executables were released in a patch. They're not compatible with the Steam release.

I never had the opportunity to test it so I don't know if it's a big improvement.

  7. #1177
How does shit like that happen? Why would the newest release of a game not support a patch's features. Fuck EA.

  8. I remember the 64-bit version getting serious stutter when it streamed in textures, but not the 32-bit.

    ymmv

    or you may never knoooowwww~

  9. I'm kind of tempted by $15 Crysis. All my research on 32 v 64 bit shows no noticeable difference, but most of the tests were on 2007 hardware, back when the game came out. It's been a while and I imagine a patch or two might have changed things. Anyone know how things compare nowadays?

  10. The standalone expansion/sequel thingy to King's Bounty: The Legend is up on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/3170/

    $36
If the last game is anything to go by, this will be AWESOME.

edit: OH and King's Bounty: The Legend is on sale at Gamersgate. $12.50 http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-KB/kings-bounty-the-legend
