Thread: Official PC Thread

  1. Today's steam deals:

    Mirror's Edge - $5.00
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood - $20.99
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - $9.99
Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition - $2.49
    Quantz - $2.00
    Dawn of Discovery - $34.99
    Section 8 - $24.99
    Evil Genius - $2.49

Direct2Drive had Dawn of Discovery for 10 bucks cheaper. They also had Crysis Maximum Edition for 20 bucks but those deals will be gone in a half hour when D2D's cyber monday deal go online.

I wish Call of Juarez was cheaper or I would bite since I like the first game and am a sucker for westerns. I already have the retail Mirror's Edge and the 360 Riddick so I guess I won't bother with those steam deals too.

FUCK D2D. No way in hell am I supporting IGN's existence over Valve's.

I'm going for Mirror's Edge and Riddick. I'd never get around to Mirror's Edge's DLC anyway, and this saves me a trip to Big Lots. I don't even like Wal Mart. I can't imagine the creatures that inhabit Big Lots.

  3. Just a heads up...Trackmania on steam just updated to the "Star Edition" for me.

LOL. Big Lots is an adventure!

  5. The creators of Knytt have a new platform/adventure game, Saira. This one isn't freeware but there is a demo.

  6. "Section 8"

this sounds like an awesome game

you go sell drugs and then come 'home' to an annoying lazy group of shit

  7. Are Samorost 1 and 2 any good? The 2nd is less than $3 on Steam currently.

  8. They're single-screen adventure games with no inventory at all. The second is very similar to the first, which is free: http://www.amanita-design.net/samorost-1/

Both games are very short but they're really charming. Nice music and animation. Try them, then go for Machinarium, which a pretty huge improvement from the same developer.

  9. The Samarost games are cute, but they actually lowered my expectations for Machinarium more than anything. I was really surprised when it turned out to be a real top-tier adventure game with all the fixins.

  10. Speaking of which,
