  4. hey everyone!

    I cleaned up the TNL level, including the nick statues. Ive also added a few more visual things here and there, AND its now fixed so that anyone who plays it can win the TNL logo sticker so you can toss it anywhere, and share it!

    Man, I love this game. Honestly, when I picked it up (this was when the servers were down), I felt very disappointed. The control just didn't seem to click for me, and I think the way it never actually nudges you in with any kind of familiar platformer trappings left me cold. I was expecting the typical platformer themes and conventions, but the game is just not that. This game is for platformers what the first time seeing Half-Life 2 was for first person shooters. This is a redefinition of the entire genre.

    Once you take it for what it is, your eyes open to what is some truly brilliant game and level design, and your mind sees the control in an entirely different light; you come to appreciate it, and realize that it is actually extremely good for the way the game is designed and plays. I think that's actually the most underappreciated aspect of this game, despite all of the media attention for so many other parts of the game; at its core, it is actually a great platformer, simply from a design and gameplay perspective.

    And I can't say enough how great the soundtrack is for this game. It's so multi-cultural and fresh and unique, and so moody and atmospheric, for stages that only exemplify it in their uniqueness and lack of any kind of overarching conformitive theme. To think, I was expecting fire world and ice world, lol.

  7. I need to play this game more. I've been caught up in other games since the beta ended.

    Is the co-op online solid? It was really buggy in the beta, and I haven't tried the retail yet, for fear of system freezing.
