"CEEDEE-ROMZ" are still kinda confusing for me. I mean, I understand there basically plastic 8-trax, but something about 'em... A little piece of the devil is in every CEEDEE I reckon!

If a console doesn't have fake wood paneling on it, I don't want any part of it!

  2. Are these on sale now? Or is this just a pre-emptive thread by one of the lucky people who got one at E3?

  3. They've been on sale since Tuesday, I believe. I just ordered mine from electronics boutique.com (you get 20% off if you type in ACCESS20) today. I've heard nothing but great things about the controller and am definitely looking forward to try it out for myself.

Mad Catz makes a pretty nice 900mhz Wireless controller for the PS2 that is quite phenominal also and the newer models of it have a much better D-pad than the older models
Thanks for the heads up, but I just can't do 3rd party pads, wireless or not.

youd be surprised how good the mad catz one is
id try to see if any place had it on display for you to try

persoanly i found the newer models to be just as good as the sony dual shock

  6. Well, maybe I will check it out then...

88mph, do you guys have any of them?

I agree. Much like when Nintendo introduced the Rumble Pak, I figure it's only a matter of time before Sony and MS follow suit.

  8. Well, I own one now and just finished testing it out. Every part of the controller that your hand touches while playing is molded exactly the same as the original controller. After 2 minutes of playing you forget what you are holding. I am also happy to report that there was no place in my room where the controller didn't work. I could even point it in any direction I wanted. I tried out playing behind my head "trick guitar solo" style. Worked beautifully.

Now it's time to sit back and watch the fun sillyness that will come of all this such as:

    *Interact Wavebird AC adapters

*Mods to use your Wavebird on your GBA

The real fun is now it is entirely possible that the next generation of consoles will be compleatly wireless right out of the box and not even have controller ports. I'm quite currious to see how Sony will manage to have 2 less controller ports than everybody else if that is the case. I'm sure they'll be able to do it somehow.

  9. The wavebird is fantastic, I must say. I picked one up the other day.
At $35, its the same price as the ancient "wired" xbox and PS2 controllers, right? Obviously sony is gonna come out with a wireless controller, they've blantantly ripped off nintendo before, so they'll do it again. The only thing that sucks is that i have to get in the habit of turning my controller off when i'm done with it. Luckily it has a light to signal if its on or not.

    The Nintendo difference, no?

  10. It's funny. My GC is so cool and such shit at the same time. It's got it's spiffy compact cube shape and handle augmented by the cool pointy metal feet I put on it. It's got it's VGA adapter cord for beautiful unblemished true VGA display. It's got it's flawless wireless controller with more battery life than I know what to do with. It really makes me want to, you know, play a game on it. Dear God, I wanted to play a game so badly I played a few rounds of Bloody Roar. Bloody freakin' Roar. It was either that or WaveRace for the zillionth time.

Where were we agian? Oh yeah, get a Wavebird. It is truly amazing and revolutionary.
