SOTN XBLA is pretty neat so far though I'm already wondering why I bought it since I own the PS1 and Saturn versions.

this is exactly why i've wondered why the masses here are lapping at it's balls. they've all played it before or still own it.

my bro downloaded it today and i said i could save him the cash since i had a ps1 and the game in the closet. *shrugs*

BTW folks, apparently for some reason Konami made Monoaural sound the default setting in SotN. Go in and set it to Stereo, should make a noticable difference.

Since most of you have played Symphony of the Night when it was first released, do you think its still better than all the DS/GBA Castlevanias? Would this be worth downloading? OR, does it tend to become repetitive and slightly boring like the GBA titles?

It's much better than all the GBA Castlevanias. I liked Dawn of Sorrow quite a bit; I'd say SOTN is up there with that. I haven't played POR enough to rank it. I'd say download SOTN; it is an all-time classic game and this is the best way we're ever going to get to play it.
