Yes, absolutely. One of the best songwriters of the last 30 years. Listen to Faust or Good Old Boys some time. And he's the perfect choice for this movie, too. He wrote Louisiana 1927 for christ's sake.

I dont have much of an opinion about Randy Newman, but why does Disney use him for every movie now?

Anyway, this should be interesting. Hopefully Disney doesnt use any accidental stereotypes with the African American characters. Im sure Jesse Jackson is watching this super closely.
