  2. What does a random non-sequitur arbirtarily involving Randy Newman have to do with anything? It's not even a parody of Randy Newman, it's just lazy mad-libs writing.

South Park was right about Family Guy.

  3. I only posted it because I couldn't find a MAD TV Randy Newman skit.

Are you seriously defending Randy Newman as a musical genius? Really?

Either way, you gotta admit Will Sasso does a spot-on impersonation.

Yes, absolutely. One of the best songwriters of the last 30 years. Listen to Faust or Good Old Boys some time. And he's the perfect choice for this movie, too. He wrote Louisiana 1927 for christ's sake.

Please ignore awful video and ham-fisted attempts to recontextualize the song to recent events.

  6. I Really Hope It's Not Shit!

  7. I dont have much of an opinion about Randy Newman, but why does Disney use him for every movie now?

Anyway, this should be interesting. Hopefully Disney doesnt use any accidental stereotypes with the African American characters. Im sure Jesse Jackson is watching this super closely.

  8. Who cares if they use any stereotypes, the only time stereotypes matter is when people whine about them, in which they generally perpetuate the stereotype themselves.

  9. The only way this is not going to have at least a bit of "stereotype" (read: caricature) is if they write the main character like a generic white girl, which is apparantly what people who'll be bitching about it really want.

  10. I hope she talks in pure ebonics. And they market it as the translation from English to Ebonics.

Also, I liked that it was called The Frog Princess before :/
