Wasnt half the point of NOT getting a PS3 its price? You buy a Premium $400, now within a year your going to trade in and throw another $250 down for more HD space, hdmi, and a cable? I would be a HELL of a lot more attracted to the Elite if it had the new chipsets, not the same fucking thing with a black finish, hdmi, and god forbid the same death rate as when the originals launched.

If the new 360 has the same death rate that the earlier models had, then I will officialy quit being a MS fanboy. I won't become a PS3 fanboy, rather just stop being a faboy all together. The difference bewteen spending the extra cash on a 360 and regreting spending the money on a PS3 is that the 360 has a shit ton more games that I want to play, and I am a gamer, so thats what it all comes down to. MS isn't forcing me or anyone to buy the new model or the new HDD. If you have anything less than 8gb right now then just clean up some stuff. Do you really need to hold on to a demo you donwloaded a year ago or a trailer for GRAW2? Even with a few Oblivion downloads, including Shivering Isles, I still have 8gb.

To me, $250 is worth it, but to others it is not. Again, they aren't being forced to buy it. Why is everyone complaining. If MS decided that games require HDMI and the new HDD I would understand, but that is not the case at all. Do people at TNL just really need to complain about everything?

Because the 360 kicks ass, I want HDMI, and the 360 has enough great games coming down the pipeline to make it worth the cost to me. You have your head up Sony's ass and for some reason they are paying you for it, so you wouldn't understand. Also why would I need more space on my PS3? no downloadable games I want, no movies or music. PS3 has no dl's worth it.

Also, the Elite is a freaking bargain for all you are getting for just $80 extra, Sure the PS3 is a bargain as well because it has wifi and bluray, but it is not cheap because sony wanted it to be. It is cheap cause no one would have picked it up otherwise, and sony is still losing a crap ton on each unit sold.

If we are going to complain about the ludicrous price of the PS3, then we should in turn complain about the ridiculous price of the 120GB hard drive.

If Microsoft really wanted to stick it to Sony, they should have sold the Elite as the new premium (maybe charge $450), drop the price of the old premium to $350, and get rid of that stupid retard Core pack all together. Finish the deal by selling the 120GB attachment for $100, and everyone would have been happy. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $180 for 120Gbs.

I will agree with you. Selling the 120gb HDD alone at $180 is absurd, but thats what makes the Elite look so good. Yes they could have done this all better, and it makes me hate them a little bit because I have been so loyal to them, but the Elite by itself is not that badly priced. Once again, 6x HDD space, HDMI out, HDMI cable, and component cable all in one box.

Since never, but you add those games all up and I think GTA is going to do alot better on 360, and sell alot of systems in general this fall.

I honestly don't see how anyone can complain about the price. You are getting 6 times the HDD space, HDMI out, HDMI cable included (eat that Sony), component cables included (double eat that sony), wireless controller, and headset. All for just 80 bucks more. If you don't want the Elite, than don't bitch about it. If you do want it, what are you complaining about? Trade in your 360, 20gb HDD, old component cables, and old headset and the damn thing will only cost you $250. Now if yoshi can buy a wii for $250, some of you here who want the Elite can fork over the cash for it.

I think the price of the Elite is okay for anyone that doesn't have one yet (like me). The $180 HDD for people who already have a Premium is loltastic. And the fact that they didn't just release the Elite in the first place is ridiculous. They're pretty much fucking all their current customers.

You've pretty much lost your goddamn mind, haven't you? Every company on the planet would like to charge more money for their product. Microsoft is not selling 360s for the express purpose of making you happy. They are doing it to make money. If they thought they could charge more and sell the same number of units they would do it.

Also I should point out that Mass Effect is in no way a system seller. Don't get me wrong, it's most likely the game that will make me buy a 360, but it is nowhere near in the same league as Halo or GTA. The original KotOR was a hit because of the license. Jade Empire didn't sell very well.
