Thread: Official XBox 360 Thread III: Third Strike

  1. Our MS rep came in today and we were asking us if May was the date. Of course she wouldn't tell us and kept playing dumb. There are methods to getting data from your hdd to your pc and vice versa. Unless the hdd cannot be removed on the new model then it shouls work.

  2. I'd debate getting a second one somewhere down the road. One day I'll have a nice rec room setup and I'd put the current 360 in there with the upgraded system in the main room. Add internet and the future gaming parties write themselves.

  3. My guess is MS could offer online storage as part of a Live Gold account - let them host the data if you need to transfer it. I'd be shocked if they let you save it on your PC for transfer, that would open a huge can of worms. XBLA demos would get hacked to full in seconds.

How? People have been able to pull the XBLA demos off the 360 since last summer and still no one has found a way to crack the hidden unlock key. Hell, OXM stopped just short of full endorsement the Datel devices in their newest issue when explaining to a reader how to transfer old XBOX saves to the 360.

Until you turn 20 and realize that 95% of your friends don't like video games anymore.

I was reffering to datels XSATA 360. It allows you to transfer game saves, demos, videos, and dl content to your PC. This is possible because this content is tied to your Live account therefore if you gave it to someone else, it wouldn't work. If moving all your stuff over to the new system is a big deal, this seems like a good option. I really don't have anything I need and wouldn't mind spending an afternoon or just stayping up late one night to download my arcade titles and dl content over.

I traded in alot of stuff, but not that much. I had old systems like a spare XBOX that was failing. The Gamecube and its worthless games(got Res Evil 4 for PS2). It also helped that I kept slips for alot of the games in their cases. Reason being that the salesclerk doing the trade gave me full credit for those games since she was quiting there and moving to Montana in 2 weeks. Just good luck all around Disgruntled Gamestop employees= win!

  9. What does it mean when the lights on the 360 controller alternatively flash first-third and second-fourth quadrants? My controller works fine, but the light won't stay on the first quadrant. It just keeps flashing like that.

  10. Low battery.
