Anyone catch the series premiere on Monday night? Since Heroes is on break the timing was perfect. Stars Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver as the parents of a nomad family. Not exactly gypsies, but that sort of lifestyle.

Quick and dirty summary of the first episode: They're a family of con artists and through a serious of crazy events they come across a rich husband and wife who are moving to a new area. The couple winds up dead and the family moves into their new house. The challenge is on take over this new life and try and start a new, much richer life.

I liked what I've seen so far and depending on how the "How are they going to lie their way into someone elses life" questions are handled I think they show could turn out to be a winner.

I love Izzard, and this seems like a somewhat more serious role for him. I have the first ep on the DVR - need to watch it.

I left a lot out in my quick episode description, the premise is really good. If you like Izzard I think you'll like him in this.

I feel off whenever I see Eddie Izzard in men's clothes.

And are both Izzard and Driver playing Americans? Odd casting if that's the case.

Yes they both do. And if it makes you feel any better you see Izzards' bum in the first episode. His son wears dresses though.

I thought it was alright. There were some editing issues that I questioned at the beginning of the ep (when the kid got in the cop car, they cut to Minnie in prison, cut back and the kid's out. Did he not find anything? Also, they get pulled over, cut to Minnie in prison then cut back and all their shit is on the road, wtf happened?). I'm still going to give this a chance.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. I thought they were busted, but when the cop leaves it just looks like he took a lot of the shit they stole for himself.

3 episodes in and I'm really digging it. The whole cast is great, it's a really solid show so far. Plus, I think I'm falling in love with the girl that plays Di Di.

I just picked up the first season on a whim yesterday (Target has it for $20) and spent most of the day watching it. AND NOW I SEE A THREAD FOR IT. WHAT COINCIDENCE! I think it's a fantastic show. Izzard seems to roll back and forth between an American and British accent, but Driver (who has a monkey face that I don't really like) does a great job with her southern lilt. I still have three episodes to go, but so far I think it's a keeper.

That guarantees that it will get canceled, just like every show I like.
