People say this a lot, but it really doesn't make much sense. I think people think "HEY, Katamari is kooky, Wii is kooky........KOOKYx2=!!!!!!!!!!!!" but really it was designed specifically for the dual analog sticks and is evidence against the Wii's idea that you need a new controller to create original gameplay concepts.

  2. I'm excited. I'd take a new game every year if they'd do it.

    WAY better than Tony Hawk.

Didn't he completely leave the videogame industry? Like, before the first sequel even came out?

I still think it could work really well if the designers thought about it for half a second. The remote is the right stick, the nunchuck is the left. The motion sensing stuff would make it great and probably the only solid not stupidly obvious and unnecessary use for the control outside of Wii Sports yet. Or they could do something with the pointing and grabbing or even *gasp!* try to come up with A DIFFERENT MODE OF PLAYING THE STUPID GAME SO IT'S NOT JUST THE SAME DAMN GAME OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL WE'RE TIRED OF IT, GOD DAMN IT, BAMCO or at least SOMETHING that's a little more varied than rolling stuff up.
but hey, maybe that's being done. 2 sequels that are nearly the same but progressively less interesting say it's not.

  5. Bamco, listen to Finch or he'll bombard the board with more big, flashing red text.

Why is this not on PS2, exactly?

Because the ps2 is old news.

  8. Higher resolution textures. It's all about the high-res texturing.

I don't think the demographic for this game really suits the 360 or PS3. If anything, it should have been on the PS2.

I think a lot of what made the first game successful was the fact that it was only $20. As much as I like the series, I wouldn't pay $50+ for it.

  10. Don't worry! It's a ~ bargain price ~ of $39.99!

This generation of gaming makes me sick
