I'm loving the look so far.
But "They will know why they fear the dark" was uttered much better by James Earl Jones.
And Rammstein in the trailer = WIN!!
I liked the original Hellboy to a point. I loved the character and the atmosphere. The creativity billowing off these books made it a visual piece of eye candy to experience. But the writing was disjointed, unfocused and sometimes almost completely took you out of the great atmosphere. Basically it had more going for it than it had that sucked and they have the books to thank for that.
Judging by this trailer it looks like they're being more faithful to the source material (still a little too over the head). Nolan really started a great trend in Hollywood with Batman Begins. I'm really excited. Hellboy is one of my favorite superheroes because of the atmosphere from Mike Mignola's crazy mind.

I really like how much Hellboy 2 looks to be informed by Pan's Labyrinth, at least from a creature design standpoint.
