Thread: Time Crisis 4

  1. I am telling you, Wii has skewed the hell out of the review scale. Do you honestly believe ths would get less than an 8.5 on Wii if it was the exact same game?

    Stop reading reviews.

Probably not. In the likely scenario that the Wii copied the arcade graphics 1:1 (no way in Hell can the Wii come close to the PS3 version in that regard), I don't think the reviewers would bitch about that.

So the graphics may not be pushing the PS3 to the max. I honestly don't care. The graphics are still IMO very good, and I wouldn't want a major graphic overhaul if it would lead to overtaxing the PS3- resulting in additional slowdown, frame skipping, etc. which would then hurt the play mechanics.

  3. If the graphics are improved from the arcade who cares right? Time Crisis 2 looked way better on PS2 than the arcade but it still dont look amazing for a PS2 games. Again, its a F'n shooter!

  4. There's nothing wrong with this game, it's fine, though I haven't played the FPS stages yet (and don't plan to). If you're willing to shell out $80-$90 based on your experience with the previous TC games, then TC4 won't disappoint you.

I seen this while shopping today Thats one game for PS3 that I want. Maybe I'll get one when MGS4 comes out.

  6. Smile Got mine today

My TC4 finally arrived from Amazon.

I found arcade mode slightly harder than the arcade version, finishing with about 4.9 M on PS3. This is what Namco promised- a port of TC4 with better graphics. The GC3 itself works pretty well and calibration is a snap.

Shooting left-handed actually works for me on the Guncon FPS missions. I play them with my right hand crossed under the gun to work the left-side controls. The FPS missions do have a little bit of learning curve to them. Any "traditional shooting" chapters in the Complete Mission are played for time attack, sorta like TC1- forget combos in this case, and use grenades sometimes to speed certain spots up.

FWIW, I've heard the Rock Band kick pedal works well for the Arcade/Traditional Shooting modes. Use it as controller 1.

1up's and Gamespot's reviewers were apparently on crack.

  7. I agree, the reviews don't make sense. The only justification I could see is if the reviewers despised light gun games in general. This should be a pretty straightforward 6.5.-7.5 score for any mainstream media, though I'd personally score it higher than that.

It feels really good just to be able to play this and Ghost Squad. I haven't played a light gun game since HotD2 and Vampire Night because I've gone all HDTV since then. HotD3 doesn't count since I played that with the Xbox controller.

No shit! This would be nice, but I'm not buying Rock Band.

Me neither, at least for now. I'll be buying a PS2-USB adapter for that RedOctane pedal.

  9. Namco should just include a pedal. It cant be that expensive to make.

  10. Smile Crisis Missions ALL CLEAR.

During the Crisis Missions, one of the story screens talks about some guy known just as "X". On Day 5, you fight Giorgio & Evan first, and then "X" is revealed to be Wild Dog (well, sorta).

Defeat him, and in the ending, he'll remove his mask and reveal himself to be Richard Miller. (BTW, I've got a hunch that Richard Miller is the unknown pilot in the 2nd helicopter battle, where you drop Captain Rush off to help the National Guard). You unlock a new TC4 title page with Elizabeth Conway, and the music player.
