Holy shit. This movie was fucking insane. The acting and script won't win Sly any major awards -- but when Rambo goes off he fucking murders everything. I seriously wasn't ready for how hardcore it is(when compared to the mainstream films from the last few years), but god damn you feel awesome when you walk out of this flick.

For example....
Villagers get shot(women,children,etc)
People + landmines = awesome
Body parts get blown off all over the place
Arrow through the face
.50 cal sniper rifle blowing people 10-20 feet with giant holes/chunks missing/in half
Multiple stabbings
Rock based skull crushing
Claymore + WW2 fuel air bomb = flaming genocide of an entire battalion

And then there's the final action scene wherein Rambo gets on the back of a Burmese jeep and grabs the .50 cal machine gun. He literally vaporizes people with gun fire. Body parts going everywhere, giant bullet holes in people, he even destroys a group of trees AND a fucking boat with this thing(and he even reloads)

I don't think that anything else in 2008 is going to top the kill count, gore, and extremely high tense action scenes from Rambo - and I wouldn't have it any other way. This shit comes highly recommended.
