I even had to o through 4 diferent stores to jst buy a dam memory card since they were all sold out everywhee too

the graphics in GT3 are really good, not railsport good, but good still
the new physics/controls are MUCH better then in GT2

I was all happy UNTIL the PURE MONOTONOUS BOREDOM SET IN!
I spent nearly 2 hours racing the SAME damn 3+ tracks over and over & OVER & I STILL DON"T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY MY NEXT CAR


the games on the jampacks weren't that impressive
-Half-Life has a HORIBLE framerate & textures
-jax & dater was ANNOYING a hell, with the 3 hit & your dead
-Dynasty Warriors wasn't that fun, more chaotic then anything

Kinetica, Drakan, FFX, Frequency, Baulders gate, & timespltters were prtty good on the other hand were prett good

I also rented Devil may cry today & I'm not liking it
Only played like 30 minutes though
-Dante's running animation ain't great
-there is a lag after you do a combo with your sword
-Dante's jumps are kinda iffy, you can't keep going in the direction you jumped after you reach the highest point
-the graphcs are good but not mind blowing


THE GOOD THINGS THOUGH ARE...
-combat is a BLAST, best every in a 3d game
-in the demo the game plays, it looks like there's a lot of kickass upgrades dante gets & uses

As for your question about GTA3 and FFX, I say get both, since they are quite different from each other. One is great action game, with great 3d world and not linear gameplay, that gives you hours and hours of fun, and another is very good rpg, with interesting storyline, great graphics, cool battles.

So get both, and have a good time

Devil May Cry gets waaaaaaay better the more into it you get. Better weapons, cool as hell bosses, shows off the PS2's graphical power as well. Difficulty also ramps up with bosses and regular enemies.

FFX is crap, get GTA3. Maybe it's because I'm not the biggest RPG, Final Fantasy, or cutscene fan, but the game simply blows. I mean unless you're some kind of FF diehard, avoid it like the plague. GTA3 on the other hand is simply fantastic, the hype is warranted. You can go on missions and enjoy the story, or just sit down for a few minutes and run over people. It gives you freedom and choice, unlike FFX.

all i have to say is....what the HELL did you expect from Gran Turismo3? the graphics are worse than Rallisport because they're like a year apart notice it's part 3 meaning there were 2 other games prior to this that are exactly the same. you should have known what you were getting into bud. i implore you to get the $100 Logitech forcefeedback wheel to fully enjoy GT3. the wheel is that good. just like a quality PC wheel (finally!) but yeah...GT is an acquired taste. funny...i hated the first two but love this one.

i dont like DMC one bit. i just seemed incomplete to me. i played thru the game...hated how you fought bosses multiple times....it just seemed like a hack job. and Dante's personality is so FORCED. tho im in the minority on this one.

FF10 i just kept playing for some reason. i hated the lack of an overworld map...wasnt too cool on the whole "sphere grid" idea and blitzball is plain ass...but after i saw the Anima summon i was hooked. granted i have yet to finish the game (it's summer....outside and the hunny's BECKON!) but i was enjoying it. and Auron's a badass.

yes half-life IS shit. play it on a pc to do it right. i dont see why people still insist on playing a sub-par console port of a 3 year old PC game.

Jack and Daxter has it's moments. take a non-jaded approach to it, sit down and just play. i found myself liking it a lot.

Yes, yes, and...yes! I rented this game and was so excited until I saw the frame fest that was this sorry ass port. It had more chop than a 70s kung-fu flick.

I couldn't get into this one. It seemed so generic, what with the treasure hunt theme and all. I just can't play these "go find a 100 of this" 3D platformers. I got bored with J&D after about an hour, bored and disgusted.
