I kinda got lucky with the Vita. I had $275 in Visa gift cards from signing up for new internets and TV with AT&T. So I just pretended that the Vita was the sign-up bonus and paid it off on a pre-order. Unfortunately since the cards were going to expire last month I had to go with somewhere that would actually charge them right away (Gamestop, bleh) instead of Amazon.

It is a bad reason, but if there were any MMO where the 1p Story was most fleshed out, this is it.
I didn't have a bad time with the beta, but I wanted to be able to play with friends.
There's always going to be stuff you can't do on your own. If you're cool with building up to nothing and then dropping it like it's hot after getting to the endgame, go nuts.
