It actually plays almost exactly like if it was just KOTOR 3, but with more side missions than normal. It seriously feels like a single-player game that just so happens to have other players running around, especially since pretty much everything - including most normal quest objectives - is instanced.

Big decision time: I have no idea what to use as a legacy name, and nothing really goes with the main character I've been using so far. I got the name Guilty for an alt so I was thinking of grabbing Gear as a last name, but it also wouldn't really go with anything else.

The game doesn't support mods. At all. It doesn't even have a combat log.

Yep, you can jump in our guild too if you want, just let me know and I'll send you an invite. We're about as laid back as we possibly could be. We're at 91 members right now (something like 30 or so of those are Alts) so there's almost always someone else online.

I went with Wavestrider. My characters are all sea monsters, and it's a well known fact that I walk on water.
