Come on, man. Not everything worthwhile can be measured.

Isn't Kendall making like $10 million per year?
Intangibles can kick a player up a level (if they're really there), but looking at Kendall's stats I've got to say all the intangibles in the world would bump him from unplayable to just awful. He's a bad defensive catcher that's hitting .226 with a .261 OBP and .281 SLG; I have a feeling in this case "intangibles" means "he makes a lot of money so he has to play but his teammates don't hate him".
In other news...the Phillies can't compete with the real teams. They lost to the Dodgers again today. If Mark Henrickson wasn't starting yesterday the Dodgers would have had a sweep. Taking 2 out of 3 games from a team with an offense as good as the Phillies' offense isn't bad though
The Dodgers are going all the way this year...and then they'll be swept by the Angels or Red Sox in the World Series...LOL.
He's bad, but he's free, and considering the Cubs have Koyie Hill (rookie) and Geovany Soto (rookie) behind the plate, this move makes sense. If the Cubs really were dying for a catcher who could hit, they would have kept Barrett. He just fucked up so much behind the plate, it's not a surprise he's already lost playing time in San Diego. Piniella will be batting Kendall 7th or 8th most every night he's in the lineup. No one's disagreeing with your assessment of Kendall.
Hey if you combine the Eagles and the Phillies they have more combined losses than the population of my hometown! 10,288 vs 10,784
