  1. Mets >> Braves rotation, though both are middle tier.

  2. Adam Eaton is fucking TERRIBLE. This man pitches a good game once in every 300 starts. I don't understand how a pitcher can stay in the rotation with an ERA near 6.00 for so long. The Phillies have a lot of minor league arms they could get wet if they moved Eaton elsewhere (bullpen, AAA or traded him). What's the differance anyway? Even if the kids don't pitch well it's no fucking worse then this shit.

Philly should be rebuilding again next year, fuckers get remade more than Paris Hilton's face.

Scott Proctor has a great arm, but the man will never succeed in a big market.

  5. Terrible loss for the Phils tonight but you gotta figure they can't win every single game. Besides losing both Victorino and Bourn last night the good news for the Phillies that Pat Burell is back from the fucking dead and has raised his average 60 points since the beginning of the month.

I saw Ned Colletti on the Dodger pre-game show last night, and all he kept talking about was how "successful" Scott Proctor was pitching in a big market like New York...who knows...I still think this trade sucks, and it benefits the Yankees more than the Dodgers.

Betemit is ONLY 25 years old! I see shades of Paul Konerko for Jeff Shaw in this stinker.

  7. I can't believe the lack of moves made by AL contenders.

Yeah, this trading deadline sucked. Basically the Braves and Red Sox got better and everyone else stayed the same or got worse.

Scott Proctor was successful with the Yankees (he threw over a hundred innings last year with something like a 3.50 ERA). His problem has always been that his fastball has no movement; he can blow guys away throwing 97 but once they sit on the fastball and time it they can hit it a long ways. He's a valuable workhorse out of the bullpen but he'll never be elite.

I guess he sounds OK then as a 7th inning stop gap...before giving the ball to Broxton and Saito.
