PSP Price Drop?

I own both a PSP and a DS Lite. I haven't touched my PSP in a few months. I don't have any use for a portable video player, I have a better MP3 player and I only like a handful of games that have been released on it (& I've played the bejesus out of them already). Plus my hands cramp up while I'm playing the thing. I think the design is horrible.

I'm going to sell my PSP & games here in a little while to cover the pet deposit at my place. I'll have more fun with a cat.

I like the screen on the PSP, but honestly thats about the only thing I like about the system. The UMD's are crap, and every time I play a game on my friends PSP it takes too damn long to load. Moreover, I never realized that the shoulder buttons and analogue sticks could actually be much worse than the PS2 controller....until I tried playing a PSP.

The game libraries of the PSP and the DS are arguably a wash IMO. Both systems are going after completely different target audiences, and both systems have their share of awesome games and their share of big piles of steaming shit games. For my money though, most of the stuff I want to play has come out on the DS so far.

The only games I would want on the PSP are Daxter, Ghouls and Ghosts, and that Castlevania re-make. Honestly, TWO GAMES is actually enough for me to justify buying a console, God knows I paid $700 to play Virtua Fighter 5 and Resistance, BUT I play handhelds so infrequently that I would actually need to see about 6-10 titles that would make it a worthy purchase for me. Basically, a handheld systems game library has to really impress me before I even consider buying it.

As I mentioned in the other PSP thread, I'm waiting for the rumored redesign. The DS Lite was a big improvement over the original DS, so I'm curious to see how a redesigned PSP turns out.
