Mercs is freezing like crazy on me too, and since it is the only game to do this I don't think it's overheating on me.

Ya the deeper into the game I play the more often it freezes even with my standing the system on it's side. I think the emulator just can't handle Mercs

Try signing out of live, after I did that the game didn't freeze once.

edit: After playing through all the areas that caused crashes before, I'm happy to say that after disconnecting from Live before playing I'm not crashing. Hopefully that continues.

Well so much for that. It lasted all of the first map. In particular the Chinese heart face card battle just causes my system to stop in it's tracks.
