Because your chances of getting herpes are thousands of times greater than your chances of getting HIV.

And frankly, most people who do get HIV and get adequate treatment don't ultimately die from it. At least in the US.

HIV is horrible, but generally people are frightened to the point of irrationality about it. Chances are all of you engage in far more risky behavior on a daily basis.
