What I REALLY wanna see is Sonic team write some code that checks for a cheat device on bootup and upon finding one, explodes and wounds anyone in the room with flying shrapnel and rusty nails.
C'mon Sonic Team! You can do it!
I hope Sonic Team figures out a way to block PSO from even booting with a Gameshark. My idea: The game shark has to run code in memory to overide the game code, so before saving the character, check for any non-legit code. Better yet, I'd love to see the game use a multi-step boot process that essentially resets all code in memory to prevent a GS from being used. 'course, that might be possible.
Never under any circumstance scrutinize the mastication orifice of a gratuitous herbivorous quadruped.

Closed platform? The reason people could hack their characters in the DC version is the same reason people can do it in Diablo. It's an offline and online game, and therefore the characters are saved on your side, not the servers. People weren't hacking into Sonic Team's servers.Originally posted by Korly
Yeah, it seems like the X-Box would be the platform least likely to have cheaters, due to the fact that XBL is a closed platform, and there is not yet a GS for X-Box.
I'm pretty sure you needed a Code Breaker or Xploder to cheat in ver. 2. The claim was that Sonic Team did block Game Sharks, but not the other two DC cheat devices.Originally posted by Wolffen

This is great. I logged over 100 hours on the DC rev, and I'm all set to do it again. I'm getting my Cube somewhere around July 12-13(along with RE remake), so this announcement is fine for me. But one question; is PSO coming to the PS2 as well?
the chances of a Sonic Team game hitting the PS2 are pretty mucb non-excistent.Originally posted by zidane747
