  1. You didn't need a special power to tell you that was a bad idea.

  2. Saw it last night. It was actually good (his 'look 2-minutes into the future' power was cool and handled in a Groundhog Day-ish kinda way) and Jessica Beil was super, super hot. However, right near the end there was a beyond-retarded plot twist and the movie was completely ruined, ala High Tension.

His love for Beil somehow extends his future power beyond 2 minutes and the almost the whole movie was just him looking into one possible future that never ended up happening. Almost everyone in the theater started yelling "that's bullshit!" at the screen when it was revealed.

Usually one, but this week it was two. But my friends and I only do it so regularly because we get in for free. I wouldn't actually pay to watch half the shit I do.

Yeah I remember thinking "holy shit, are they gonna the balls to end the movie here?" I don't think I could've sat through more of it anyway.

  6. Another thing about the movie that was stupid was Nick Cage's whole relationship with Jessica Beil.

First, it was totally ridiculous because she's a delicious young girl in her early 20's and falls in love with a guy that looks like he's 60 with a hairdo that Divinchi Code Tom Hanks would have laughed at.

Second, the relationship developed so fast that it was totally unbelieveable, even in movieland where shit like that happens all the time.

You mean when the nuke went off? Now THAT would have been cool.

What the hell was up with that? After all the shit talking about Tom Hanks' hair in Davinchi Code, someone thought it was a good idea to put it on Nic Cage?

Not that I saw this movie mind you, but I saw the shitty commercials.

I just saw this last night. It was way better than I expected. Directed by Gore Verbinski (POTC*), includes a well placed Transitions by the Beastie Boys (albeit cut up), Nicholas Hoult from About a Boy, Hope Davis (American Splendor), a great performance by both Caine and Cage, the plot's introspective, moody and well paced, and last it was very well shot (a good movie for HD). I definitely recommend it. ♠♠♠♠

  9. The Weather Man was fucking terrible.. But the Rock and Con Air were great, and I even liked this one a lot.. Probably more because of Jessica Biel than Nick Cage, I think.
