Thread: Star Ocean: First Departure & Second Evolution

  1. Star Ocean: First Departure & Second Evolution

So, Square-Enix is having a thing over there in Japang, and they announced these remakes for Star Ocean 1 and 2 for PSP (also Star Ocean 4, but who cares about that shit).

    I like.

Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  2. So can we expect every PS1 Square/Enix RPG re-released on the PSP and every 16 FF game released on the DS?

  3. Since most of them were better than their current stuff, and haven't we all been waiting for Star Ocean 1? And DOn't we all love star ocean 2?

    Oh and (psp newb)

  4. Star Ocean Second Story remake?

Now I really, honestly, am going to have to buy a PSP.

  5. US release dates:
Star Ocean: First Departure - October 21, 2008
Star Ocean: Second Evolution - January 6, 2009

  6. Fuck, yes.

  7. Fuck yes, the correct response.

  8. Hell yes, but hopefully they aren't hampered by loading times.

  9. I'll put up with loading to play this on the PSP's screen. I bet it looks like heaven if heaven could fit on a 4.3in screen.
    All is well.

  10. Wish they had added and rebalanced Killer Moves/Magic in Second Evolution, since some of the characters (offensive magic users, Ernest) really paled in comparison to others.

First Departure (being the all out SOIIed remake) is day one, though.
